In accordance with Section 741a of the Danish Administration of Justice Act, the victim of a crime of violence or rape is entitled to legal aid during the trial. The police are obligated to inform the victim of this right, cf. Section 741 b of the Danish Administration of Justice Act.

The police and prosecution are obligated to inform the victim about his/her rights with regard to the criminal proceedings, as well as provide the victim with information on how the proceedings are expected to proceed, cf. Section 741 e of the Administration of Justice Act.
